Meet Onion & Olive

Olive and Onion are the newest members of our little homestead and have quickly become part of the Golden Petal story.

While they may seem like an unusual addition to an herbal wellness business, they represent something we believe deeply in slowing down, spending time in nature, and finding joy in the simple things.

One of our hopes is that Olive and Onion become companions for Draaxtyn as he learns responsibility, confidence, patience, and the rewards that come from caring for animals. Each day brings new opportunities to learn, grow, and connect with the world around us.

Here at Golden Petal, wellness isn't just about the products we create. It's about creating a life rooted in nature, meaningful experiences, and everyday moments that nourish the mind, body, and spirit.

You'll often find Olive and Onion exploring the pasture, supervising garden projects, and reminding us to slow down and enjoy the present moment.

As Golden Petal continues to grow, we're excited to share their adventures alongside updates from our garden, greenhouse, and homestead.

Thank you for following along on the journey.

Take Olive & Onion Home

"Love our newest garden helpers? Olive and Onion are now available as a sticker! Perfect for water bottles, notebooks, laptops, and more."

This evening, Draaxtyn and I spent some time sitting out in the pasture with Onion and Olive.

There wasn't much of a plan. We simply sat quietly and let them decide if they wanted to come close.

As we slowed down and stopped trying to rush the process, the goats became more curious. Little by little, they came over to investigate, graze nearby, and spend time with us.

It reminded me that trust isn't something that can be forced. Sometimes it grows in the quiet moments.

One of the reasons Onion and Olive joined our homestead was the hope that they would become companions for Draaxtyn. Watching him sit peacefully in the grass, patiently earning their trust, made me feel like we're off to a good start.

Sometimes wellness isn't found in doing more.

Sometimes it's found in a pasture, sitting quietly with a child and two little goats as the sun begins to set. πŸŒΏπŸπŸ’š

Trust Takes Time 🐐

We're still getting to know Olive and Onion, and they're still learning that we're the treat people.

Tonight brought a small winβ€”a few treats, some curious noses, and even a little chin scratch from Onion. It's amazing how rewarding those small moments can be.

Building trust doesn't happen overnight, but we're enjoying every step of the journey and watching their personalities begin to shine through.
